The demand for skilled healthcare workers continues to grow, creating both a need and an opportunity that the Vita Health & Wellness District is uniquely equipped to address. Our close proximity to the growing Stamford Hospital medical campus, our experience in developing affordable housing solutions and our commitment to creating a community that supports health and well-being at every level creates an environment that is ideal for the training of new healthcare workers.
Through partnerships with existing agencies, including the Women’s Business Development Council, the Lower Fairfield Regional Action Council and Norwalk Community College, Vita is developing a plan to train people for new and emerging health sciences jobs. The program will provide formal links to internships and employment opportunities tied to commercial expansion and the local health/wellness marketplace, including medical and allied health practices, fitness facilities, restaurants, retail and services.
